Apart from all this, Life Insurance Corporation of India has also given relief to its customers who use digital method to pay the premium, LIC has decided not to charge any service charge from online paying customers. In such a way, if you make an online payment in any way, then you will not have to pay any additional fee.

According to the statement issued by the Life Insurance Corporation of India, LIC said that in view of the situation in the country which has worsened due to the corona virus epidemic, our insurance holders who were required to pay the premium in March, till April 15 to pay the premium. The time has been given.

What happens if the premium is not paid on time

After not paying the premium by the due date, you are given extra time to pay the premium, which is called the grace period and the insurer does not have to pay any penalty. These are 15 days for premium paying customers in monthly periods and 30 days for customers with quarterly, half yearly and annual periods.

According to the LIC website, premiums can be made through the Internet through HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Corporation Bank, Citibank, Federal Bank and Bill Desk. Premiums can also be paid through LIC’s mobile application, premiums can also be paid from Corporation Bank and Axis Bank ATMs. Premiums of Life Insurance Corporation of India policy can also be paid by Electronic Clearing Service (ECS). These facilities are available in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Patna, Trivandrum, Kanpur in the country , Ahmedabad, Goa, Pune, Secunderabad, Visakhapatnam etc. Apart from this, premium can also be paid by going to the nearest branch of LIC, information of the nearest branch is available on the official website of LIC.
