Unsatisfied users can request a refund on courses within 30 days of purchase by following the company Refund Guidelines.

Most refunds are issued through the original payment method, although the company’s refund policy states that some courses may not be eligible for cash withdrawal and will be refunded with Udemy credit instead. The credit can be applied to the purchase of another course at Udemy. Refund requests cannot be submitted through the Udami mobile app. Course players can access Udemy on a desktop or laptop to request a refund for an eligible course from “My Course”.

If you want to learn new skills, but are not looking for a degree or course affiliated with a college or university, Udami may be a good option for you. Udami issues certificates, but these are not recognized or university-aligned. However, this does not mean that the knowledge gained through Udemy cannot advance learning and career.

“Udami students always have access to the most current courses on any subject,” says Patrick Heffernan, Udami’s communications manager. “We are able to provide this because we are an open market where anyone can teach anything, and our instructors are real-life practitioners who know the latest in their fields of expertise.”

Course topics on Udami range from mindfulness to music and design to dog training.

When pursuing any type of education, research your options. Udemy is not rated or accredited with the Better Business Bureau. It has a 2.7 out of five average rating based on 588 reviews on Trustpilot.

If you are trying to learn a specific skill, the Udami course can provide step-by-step instruction to accomplish a goal. On the other hand, Cortera has more academic focus on its subjects and courses.

Udami is likely to be cheaper if you are surveying specific topics or working at a slower pace. Buyers of the Udemy course receive lifetimes up to scholastic material, and many tutorials on Udemy focus on more practical, hands-on applications.

Cortera, on the other hand, takes a deeper dive into more academic content. There is no cost to sign up with Koursera, which features over 1,000 free course audits. Individual courses typically charge a one-time payment for 180 days of usage.

Udami does not offer such facilities as special certifications such as graded assignments, mentorships and kaursera. The specialization typically consists of several courses and operates on a membership basis, typically between $ 39 and $ 89 per month. Kaursera also allows you to apply for financial aid.

Skillshare and Udemy each offer thousands of online courses with different cost structures and course lengths.

Skillshare classes can be as short as 10 minutes, while Udemy is at least 30 minutes long. Both platforms offer courses that are several hours long, but in general, Udemy goes more in-depth while Skillshare leads to shorter and more direct lessons.

Udami users pay for each course, while Skillshare charges a flat monthly or annual membership fee for premium access to all platform courses. Skillshare also offers a library of free courses.

Both Udami and Skillshare offer courses created by individuals rather than universities or companies. These trainers are web developers, photographers, coders, business executives and others who specialize in their fields.

For those who want to learn new things constantly, Skillshare’s premium subscription model can provide value. For those wishing to learn specific skills, Udemy is probably more practical. Each site is designed to allow users to gain skills without pursuing a diploma or degree.

The difference between Udemy and Pluralsight starts with the purchase model. Udemy created a marketplace where users could purchase a single course with lifetime usage. This includes access to articles, quizzes, practice questions and other material related to that course.

Pluralsight, on the other hand, runs on a monthly membership fee that provides access to over 7,500 courses. Pluralsight students can learn offline.

Udami classes cover topics ranging from music to marketing and development. Pluralsight focuses on coding and programming modules with more selective training options and clearly defined skill paths.

For the casual learner, Udemy is probably a better option. For tech industry professionals and in-depth professional development, pleuralite may be a more strategic route.
