BEIRUT (Reuters) – President Michel Aoun said Lebanon would demand evidence and documents from the United States that led Washington to impose sanctions on leading Christian politician and his son-in-law Gabran Basil on Friday.

Aoun asked the country’s caretaker foreign minister to obtain evidence and documents that should be presented to the Lebanese judiciary “to take necessary legal measures”, viewed by Reuters on Saturday and posted by the president on his Twitter account Gaya is a statement.
