(Reuters) – United The states continued to release serious records on Wednesday as it fights through the coronovirus epidemic, with the nation’s northeast facing a worsening outbreak already pressuring the top of the Midwest.
According to the Reuters tally, 142,279 infections were at a high for the second consecutive day and above 100,000 for the eighth day due to new COVID-19 infections.
The number of people hospitalized with the virus rose to at least 64,939 by late Wednesday evening, the highest during the epidemic. The death toll increased to 1,464.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday was the latest state official to implement a new round of social disturbance restrictions, in an effort to protect a state that was the epicenter of America’s outbreak.
There have been a total of 10.4 million cases and 241,809 deaths during the epidemic in the United States.
