Los Angeles (AP) – Bobby Brown Jr., son of singer Bobby Brown, was found dead in a Los Angeles home on Wednesday. He was 28.
Los Angeles Police spokesman Jeff Lee said officers were responding to a medical emergency when they found Brown Jr.’s body at a house in Encino around 1:50 pm, The Los Angeles Times reported.
Brown Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene. Lee said that police believe no felony was committed and additional details on the death were not immediately released.
Brown Jr. was the son of Bobby Brown and Kim Ward.
His son’s death is the latest in a series of misfortunes for Bobby Brown.
In 2012, his ex-wife, noted singer Whitney Houston, was found dead after drowning in a bathtub in a Beverly Hills hotel room. Coroner’s officials described Houston’s death as accidental and said heart disease and cocaine were factors.
His daughter, Bobby Christina Brown, was found face-less in a bathtub at her suburban Atlanta home on January 31, 2015. She had been in a coma for six months before dying under the care of Dharamshala at the age of 22.
Investigators with the medical examiner’s office were not able to determine how Bobby Christina Brown died. An autopsy revealed that his body contained morphine, cocaine, alcohol, and prescription drugs.
Bobby Christina’s former partner Nick Gordon, who was found liable for his death, died earlier this year. He was 30 years old.
Gordon was never criminally charged in the case, but he was found responsible in a wrongful death lawsuit. An Atlanta judge ordered him to pay $ 36 million to Brown’s estate.
Brown began her singing career as a member of the new version of the R&B group before becoming a soloist with hit films such as “My Progressive” and “Every Little Step”.
